Alicia L. Santore, M.Ed. - Owner & Educational Director

Welcome to Imagine Academy! My name is Alicia Santore, and I am so pleased to share my passion in education with you and your child. Opening this center has really been a lifelong dream of mine, when I first began working at a daycare center here in Uniontown during my early college years. I got the teaching “itch” and made it my ultimate goal to open a center where children of all ages could play together, learn together, and ultimately grow together. I began my career in education at Waynesburg College (now university), where I studied English writing and went on to obtain my Master of Education degree and Pennsylvania principal certification from California University of Pennsylvania. I taught in the Laurel Highlands School District for 5 years, beginning at the high school level teaching English and then onto the 4th and 5th grades at Marshall Elementary School. During my time at Laurel Highlands, I also coached middle school boys’ soccer and participated in school improvement committees to better the educational outcomes of the district. My husband is Mark Santore, the Director of Bands at Laurel Highlands High School. We have two sons, Paxton (7) and Parker (5) and our daughter Elliana (2), who I am delighted to have as an integral part of our Imagine Academy learning community.
I am so excited for the opportunity to care for and grow in education with your child. The entire staff looks forward to getting to know you & your family and welcome you into our learning community! The academy offers a wide variety of activities and experiences that promote language and literacy development, sensory and creative thinking skills, and most importantly, social and emotional development and school readiness.
